The Idea Of India

What is there in India that has kept the outside world constantly amazed?
What kept the so called "Alexander the great" away from claiming victory in India?
What kept the Mughals and Arabs from keeping India in their harem forever?
Whatever happened to the British from holding on to their crown jewel for eternity?

And let's talk about today! Why has Pakistani jihad and Christian missionary zeal consistently failed and will continue to fail in India?

The answer lies in India's resilience and deep rooted cultural ethos that come from Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism. Together, these 4 religions constitute more than 2 Billion adherents worldwide and technically would have to be considered the largest religious conglomeration in the world.

But secularists, communists, missionaries and Jehadis would say how can Indian religions and their foundations in India be the bulwark against foreign influences?????

I will give you 2 examples of how Indians successfully used simple principles from their founding religions and overcame invaders…..

Year: 326 BC

The so called Alexander the great suffered a miserable defeat in India, a fact that is consistently avoided by Greek and western historians. In the battle of Helium, a large majority of Alexander's Infantry fought bravely against the Indian Army but the main cavalry was counterattacked by Indian War elephants. Alexander realized that if he were to continue fighting he would be completely ruined and would lose his main battle component. He requested Purushottam or Porus (as the Greeks called him) to stop fighting. Purushottam true to the Indian traditions of dharma yudha (code of conduct) did not kill the surrendered enemy.

Alexander was a broken man at his return from his misadventures in India. Greek historians have been consistently saying that the soldiers in the Greek army got tired of waging war and wanted to go back but the truth of the matter was that Alexander was unable to defeat the Hindus beyond the Sindhu River.

So what do the victorious Indian do?

They did not march against the defeated Greeks. They had a large enough army to go after the marauders and capture Athens but, they chose to unify the states left behind by Alexander and formed the first large union of Indian states. They constantly welcomed the Greeks back to India and treated them with such respect and love that eventually Chandragupta Maurya; the Emperor of India married one of Selecus Nikator's daughters.

It is after this period, the duo of Chandragupta and Chanakya laid the foundation for Medieval India, an India that excelled in international diplomacy and propelled itself as a Wealthy Learning Center for over 1000 years.

Let's take a more recent example. Year: 1998 AD

With state sponsored terrorism failing to make an impact and the terrorists running out of steam against India, the Pakistani army chalked out another plan in its endeavor to annex Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani army thought that by capturing the strategic heights near Kargil (northern Kashmir) they would be in a position of strength and get the status of the Line of Control (LoC.) altered by the UN. Pakistani army however, faltered in calculating the response from India. Indian air strikes cut off logistic support and special combat teams crippled the terrorists holed up in the heights. Ultimately, the Pakistan army had to withdraw from the heights.

Had Pakistan succeeded at Kargil, it would have fuelled the growth of several other Islamic separatist movements from the north east to the North West and would have laid the cornerstone for the reentry of terrorism into Punjab.

But, what are the Indians doing in spite of being victimized and back stabbed several times, they continue calling common Pakistanis and Bangladeshis their brothers and sisters and continue making peace overtures even to this day!!!! India is shining and will become a superpower in 10 years whereas Pakistan is a failed nation.

Conclusion

Just like the USA is a country claimed and founded on Judeo Christian principles, India and Indian constitution are founded on the Hindu concept of "Vasudeka Kutumbakam".

Both the countries are secular, democratic and allow other religions to practice and coexist.............However, there is a big difference between the 2……..

The USA does not let any new religion just rip apart the ethos of its Judeo Christian founding principles……The Americans have religious freedom but no massive prosletyzation by an outside religion is allowed and no new religion can ever succeed in getting converts…. Secularism is there but not at the cost of Judeo Christian politics.......

But in present day India, the secularists and the communists are hell bent on diminishing Hindu, Bodh, Jain and Sikh values forever. They continue to allow missionary and Jehadi activity unabated to the utter dismay of the majority population....

History has shown that India has suffered partitions and separation due to changing number games with respect to religious denominations. Indians have to realize and respect the struggles that our ancestors went through to achieve Independence from a colonial country. If this current trend of sadistic secularism continues, the current generations will have to go through a similar struggle against identity loss for years to come.....

Last time India won a massive war against a foreign civilization, it was 1947 and it was led by a frail old man wearing just a loin cloth preaching non violence with Hindu verses on his lips…..
